Fervent prayers.
Tuesday, May 25, 2010
Today's baking time was a blessing in disguise. Even though the baking was not a success, I feel I learned alot about how we can improve on our future outings. New insights, new apprehensions, new perspectives. There's lots of stuffs to address the group about. And individually too.

We should never forget the purpose of our outings and vision of the group. We are seeking change. What kind of change? A change in our area, specifically, a REVIVAL in our area. But to seek that kind of major change in that direction, firstly, we need to seek a change in ourselves! For how can we change anything if we do not first change ourselves? For now, I really want us to seek a repentance in our attitudes towards God. We say we want to honor God. We say we want to be empty vessels for Him. We say we want to do this thing for Him. We say we want to put Him first in our lives. But when the choice comes between seeking His face in His house of prayer and doing other stuffs, which do we choose? For if we really put Him first, we would put Him at the top of our list of priority. We would seize every chance to pray, seize every chance to see His face, to attend every single prayer meeting, no matter how tired we are, no matter how busy we are, no matter how much we do not feel like praying.

I'm sure everyone in the group knows the importance of prayers. Even as His Word says: The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Every single one of us is a church unto ourselves. We are THE church. We are the little walking churches that carry the Holy Spirit. We are mini churches that has the spirit of God in us. When we pray effectively and fervently, it is as powerful as though a whole church of family of Christ is praying. When every single one of us pray, the words that bursts forth from us opens the doors in heavens, and God is able to do the miracles that we are seeking. Do not despise the power of one! One man can change the world, one man can impact the world. Just take a look at Mahatma Gandhi, at Mother Theresa, at Martin Luther King. Just take a look at our Lord Jesus Christ. In His earthly ministry, He, one man, died for all, and saved all. As how one man is able to impact this world, so is one more of us praying adding on to the powers that God is able to move in our lives.

There are many things we can sacrifice to God. Our time, our skills, our talents, our enjoyments, our many many other stuffs we can be doing instead. But what's the best sacrifice we can give God? Us. We are the living sacrifices. Let us offer all of us to Him. Put Him first. Give our all to Him. Just as we seek His kingdom first in everything we do, everything else will be added on to us.

Let us think again. Think about whether our actions show if we really put God first. Just as faith without works is dead, so is saying without doing. I really hope and beseech every single one of us to attend every prayer meeting we have together as a group.
To grab every opportunity to seek His face.
To seize every chance to pray.
To move the heavens with our every prayer.
To deny the devil his attempts to make us fall.
To shake the gates of hell in his face.
To really sacrifice everything to God.
To offer Him the best sacrifice we can.
To offer Him us.
To give Him our everything.
To put Him first before all else.
To show Him our love for Him is sincere and genuine.
To show Him that we are really desperate for a revival.
To show Him that we are seeking His future in HLF.
